A medical spa, also known as a medispa or medi-spa, is a hybrid between a traditional day spa and a medical clinic. It offers a blend of aesthetic medical services and traditional spa treatments in a relaxing, upscale environment. Medical spas are overseen by a licensed healthcare professional, typically a physician, who is responsible for ensuring that the spa adheres to medical standards and protocols.

Services offered at a medical spa may include treatments beyond those available at a traditional day spa, such as laser treatments, Botox injections, dermal fillers, dermaplaning, chemical peels, medical-grade facials, and other therapies targeting cosmetic issues and skin health. These treatments are often more intensive and can address concerns like wrinkles, skin laxity, hyperpigmentation, and acne scars with a clinical approach.

The primary distinction of a medical spa is the presence of medical professionals who supervise or administer treatments, offering a higher level of care and expertise than a standard spa. This supervision ensures that procedures are performed safely and effectively, often incorporating advanced technologies and techniques that require specialized training and licensing.

Upon scheduling your appointment, patients will be asked to use a credit card to guarantee the appointment for time slots of one hour or more. You will NOT be charged a fee for the appointment. A $50 fee will only be applied to your credit card should you cancel within less than 24 hours or fail to show up for your appointment.

We also recommend scheduling appointments to ensure your preferred time is available. All booked appointments will be confirmed through our automated system by text message and email (at the client’s preference). Please ensure that we have the correct phone number and email for you.

We ask that Laser Hair Removal patients come shaved before a treatment. It is recommended to shave 1-2 days prior to your appointment.

Discontinue use of any retinol or Retin-A product at least 5 days prior and no waxing or tweezing of the hair for 3-4 weeks prior to a laser hair removal treatment. Discontinue use of any retinol or Retin-A product at least 5 days prior to chemical peels or facial laser treatments.

Dermal fillers, Bio stimulators and Bio Fillers should discontinue anti-inflammatories, and alcohol intake. This includes: aspirin, ibuprofen (Motrin or Advil), naproxen, Aleve, fish oil, St. John’s Wort, flax, Vitamin E, Vitamin D, garlic, Ginkgo Biloba, ginseng, etc. Alcohol is also to be avoided 48 hours pre- or post-injectable treatment, as it is also a blood thinner. You can consider taking Arnica Montana natural supplement to help bruising (take 5 tablets three times per day starting one week prior to treatment).

Please notify your provider if you have any history of cold sores, as we will consider pre-medicating with an antiviral prescription prior to injections. Cancel your appointment if you have any open sores in the treatment area. It is vital that you alert us of any medical conditions you may have and/or any prescribed medications you are taking before your treatment.

Special instructions may be given to you prior to more invasive treatments based on your individual needs.

All patients receiving facial treatments and permanent makeup should arrive without makeup or wash their face with our provided products in the restroom before their treatment.

We ask that you consider our policies not as restrictions but as indispensable rules, which allow us to provide high standards of service. With regard to appointment cancellation fees, there are unfortunately necessary due to unavoidable expenses and valuable time allocated to clients and patients when they make the appointments.
